You will get the opportunity to admire the wonderful countryside and visit two unique historical sites. First, explore the city of České Budejovice with its historical Otakar II square, the largest one in Central Europe and beautifully surrounded by a mixture of Renaissance and Baroque houses and dominated by the Black Tower. Enjoy a beer in the birthplace of Budvar, the brand that inspired America’s Budweiser.

Then tour the charming neo-Gothic Castle of Hluboká with its collections of furniture, tapestries, porcelain, paintings and historical weapons. Built originally as a gothic guarding castle in the 13th century, ownership passed to many different families and lands, and was reconstructed several times. First it was rebuilt it into a renaissance chateau in the 16th century, then in the 18th century updated to Baroque style, and finally in the 19th century reverted to a neo-Gothic style that you’ll see on your visit.
