Cultural & Historical French Riviera Excursion: From Cannes, French Riviera, Monaco, or Nice
Discover an Array of Culture and History Throughout the French Riviera

DURATION: UP TO 8-HOURS

This private tour in the French Riviera will allow you to discover the beauty and chic ambiance of Cannes, well known for its cinema festival; the relaxed atmosphere at trendy Juan les Pins as well as the beautiful perched village of Biot. Then, you will be driven by your private English-speaking driver to Mougins, a wonderful medieval village, and to Grasse, where you will be enchanted by your private visit at the perfume factory.

With its world-famous Boulevard de la Croisette, Cannes is one of the most glamorous resorts on the French Riviera. The red cliffs of Esterel rise steeply to the west, while the Lérins islands are located offshore. You will be enchanted by the old area of Le Suquet and by Cannes’ harbor.

The name Juan-les-Pins is inextricably linked to jazz. The town became a centre for jazz music in the 1920s when the first American tourists arrived here. Sydney Bechet subsequently established the festival in 1959. From the pine forest where the festival is held, it is just a short walk to a delightful 3km-long sandy beach. It is a major holiday destination popular with the international jet-set, with casino, nightclubs and beaches.

The old hilltop village of Biot, in the heart of an area renowned for its flower growing, has retained its authentic character. Craftsmen have been producing beautiful ceramics here since Antiquity, examples of which, including antique pieces and more modern bubble-blown glass, are displayed in the local history and ceramics museum.

Mougins is a popular village visited by many during the summer. The landscapes of this medieval town are exceptional as it is surrounded by the Valmasque forest. Between the picturesque and the charming, its architecture is fully restored and the whole environment attracted many celebrities such as Picasso, Cocteau, Christian Dior, etc. Here, Picasso lived the last 15 years of his life.

On the Route Napoléon, Grasse is an old Provencal town and the capital of the Perfumes. Whichever you choose you will be delighted by the charm of the old squares, the outdoor markets, the fountains and the winding streets.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off:  Your driver will pick you up from the lobby of your French Riviera hotel (Nice, Cannes, Monaco).
