Discover the beauty and charm of Nice during the first step of your tour. After a stop in Villefranche, you will be driven to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, a paradisiac peninsula overlooking the harbor which is today a smart seaside resort. Then stop in Eze, a village isolated in a rocky peak at an extraordinary setting, where you will have the chance to visit the Fragonard perfume factory. Your day tour will end in Monaco and Monte-Carlo and their enchanting environment that make them worldwide legendary locations.
Nice, on the Mediterranean Côte d’Azur, is a wonderful place, with its flower market, beautiful coastline, terrace restaurants, outdoor bars, and great shopping. Enjoy a wonderful cultural experience by visiting places such as the famous Promenade des Anglais, the picturesque square of the flower market ‘Cours Saleya’, the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St Nicholas and the Plateau St-Michel.
The town of VilleFranche sur Mer spreads over three Coastal roads- the lower, middle and upper roads- each one offering a superb view on the bay of VilleFranche and the Cap Ferrat. Explore the town starting from the imposing 16th century Citadelle Sainte-Elme. Move on from the Citadel to discover the cobbled streets of the old town. Last but not least Villefranche sur mer attractive harbor offers a pleasant walk to the beach.
The most prestigious headland on the Riviera, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, is covered by dense vegetation. The peninsula is strewn with elegant houses such as the delightful Villa Ephrussi. Views of the shore can be admired from the coastal path and the lighthouse in the south, and from the streets of St-Jean and St-Hospice Point in the east.
Strangely isolated on a rocky peak (429m) overlooking the sea, Èze seems to blend into the rock face. The village is located in an extraordinary setting. Its old village huddles around a substantial medieval fortress, with rocks and houses of similar hues blending into one another. From its terrace crowned with the remains of a castle, the Jardin d‘Èze, a paradise for plants, commands magnificent views of the sea, the Riviera and even Corsica.
You will be thrilled by Monaco’s exceptional location between mountain and sea, its gardens, and its athletic and cultural events. You will have a chance to discover the old town and see the changing of the guards just before midday in front of the Palace of the Prince, but you will also be visiting the Cathedral with the Princess Grace Memorial. You will also enjoy Monte Carlo with its old Casino, the famous Hotel de Paris and the Cafe de Paris at the Golden Square.
Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Your driver will pick you up from the lobby of your French Riviera hotel (Nice, Cannes, Monaco). At the conclusion of the tour, the driver can return you to the hotel, or if you prefer, perhaps drop you off at a nearby restaurant for dinner. (If choosing the latter, taxis back to the hotel are to be paid for locally).
