SIGHTSEEING AND EXCURSION
Marseille, Cassis, Calanques: From Aix, Avignon, Marseille, Provence, or Toulon
Discover the Charm of Provence Cities and Villages

DURATION: UP TO 8-HOURS

Take in the beauty and charm of the Mediterranean by visiting the multicultural city of Marseille and its seacoast. Continue along the Calanques, where you will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful creek of Sormiou or Morgiou. Your trip will end in Cassis, a picturesque old fishing port with buildings dating back from the 16th century, restored with the colorful pastels of Provence. Head towards La Ciotat on the Route des Crêtes with spectacular cliffs overlooking the sea.

Marseille is the most “Mediterranean”, multicultural, and dynamic city in France. This city has been inhabited for over 30,000 years! You will have the chance to discover landmarks such as the Museum of la Vieille Charité, Notre Dame de la Garde, and The Palais Longchamp. You will be then taken to la corniche and the creek of Les goudes.

Cassis is a charming village by the sea, snuggled at the foot of the tall Cap Canaille cliff, about 400 meters high. Its picturesque fishing port is adorned by beautiful shops, cafes, and restaurants. It is also the departure point for a boat trip to the Calanques (Port Pin, Port Miou, En-Vau).

Next, you will visit the Sormiou Creek. You will see numerous cabanons (small fisher house on the beach), small port, beach, and seafood restaurants. The belvedere offers magnificent views of two creeks and the East coast of the massif, at the foot of which is the fabulous Grotte Cosquer, a 37m-deep cave.

From Cassis, head towards La Ciotat on the Route des Crêtes and Gineste, dotted with panoramic viewpoints created to enjoy the mountains in the Cap Canaille massif, with spectacular cliffs (the highest in France) overlooking the sea.
