A quick drive outside of Paris with your knowledgeable English-speaking driver will take you to Vézelay, a charming perched village. Start off the road of the vintage wines that stretches along the Côtes de Nuit. Your visit will end in Dijon where you will be delighted by the architecture and the extraordinary collection of modern art at the Museum of Fine Arts.
First, you will visit the charming perched village of Vézelay. The rise towards the basilica is an almost initiatory experience. Hung on the sides of the hill, the beautiful medieval houses follow one another along the main street.
The next stop on your journey will be Beaune, a historic town on a plain by the hills of the Côte d’Or, with features of Roman, Medieval and Renaissance eras. Situated in the heart of prestigious vineyards, it is the epicenter of Burgundy’s wine trade. You can visit the Hôtel-Dieu (Hospices de Beaune), the Wine Museum, as well as many wine shops
For 65km between Dijon and Santenay, every step of the way down the Burgundy Cote d'Or Road seems to have its own famous name: each village, each slope: a proud viticultural landmark. In short, this is peerless Burgundy: Gevrey-Chambertin, Romanée-Conti, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Côte-de-Beaune, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet.
Shops, gardens, terraces, museums, and monuments abound in the historical Clos de Vougeot. You will be delighted by the classic inspired architecture of the Halle of Dijon, the Ducal Palace Quarter and the Church of St Michael. Walk along Rue des Forges and visit Church of Our Lady or the law court.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Your driver will pick you up from your Paris city-centre hotel. At the conclusion of your tour, the driver can return you to the hotel, or if you prefer, perhaps drop you off at a nearby restaurant for dinner. (If choosing the latter, taxis back to the hotel are to be paid for locally)
