Dresden Excursion
The Jewel Box of Germany
DURATION: UP TO 8 HOURS
Visit this titan of culture and art on this fantastic excursion. With your English-speaking driver, explore Dresden; a hub of art, architecture, education, politcs, and so much more.
Considered by many to be the Germanic equivalent of Florence, Dresden has a deep history in the arts. Tracing all the way back to the days of Saxony, Dresden was bombarded during World War Two by British forces. Many of the city's accomplishments were destroyed in the process and it took many years until most of it was rebuilt. Fans of Kurt Vonnegut will recall the impression the bombing had on him as seen in his novel "Slaughterhouse Five". Reconstructed at last in 2006, come see the Old town, the Zwinger Palace, Semper Opera, and much more. Your driver will be delighted to reccommend the best spots in the city if you are unsure what to see.
Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Your driver will meet you in the lobby of your Berlin city-centre hotel. At the conclusion of the tour, your driver can drop you back at your hotel or at a city-centre location..
