Jewish Berlin
See through the Eyes of Berlin's Jews

Come experience the struggles and accomplishments of Berlin's Jewish community. Along with your English-speaking driver, you will tour through the living quarters, workplaces, and synagogues of the Jews of Berlin.

Begin your tour at Kreuzberg. Regarded nowadays for its trendy nightlife and diverse culture, the district began as the establishment grounds for many Jewish businesses. You will also see the Jewish Museum which documents over 2000 years of Jewish culture in Europe. Then you will make your way to the Scheunenviertel district, which was once a slum for Jewish citizens. Afterwards, you can take a trip to the Oranienburger Straße New Synagogue, one of the largest in all of Berlin. For those interested, a trip to the Grosse Hamburger Straße is offered as well. Popular for its nightlife like so many other streets in Berlin, this street housed many Jews and saw their deportation during World War Two.
