The final resting place of the Wittlebasch dynasty, including "Mad" King Ludwig II, this site is one of the greatest structures built during the Renaissance. Stop over by Marienplatz Square and observe the carillon, which contains over 43 bells, 32 statues, and chimes for 15 minutes everyday at 11:00 a.m. End your tour at the Frauenkirche, the seat of the archbishop and one of the tallest buildings in the city.
